FF – 11

I think I won’t be making an animatic as a whole, because animation is being done in stages on a regular basis. I block the shot out and pass it on, there is no time to block everything out straight away.

Here you can watch my previs, which unfortunately does not have all the sounds in but you can get the idea on how the dialogue will flow (although it’s still raw)

2D vignette

This is the design of the vignette for the 2D part of the animation. The initial idea was that it will change colour and some details with the seasons change but at the moment I think I won’t be using it and will make more graphic frames for each scene.

I must say that I am lucky to have NINE! people who decided to help me with my film. You are all live savers because my film is 5 minutes 15 seconds long and it would be impossible to make without you. For all interested in my rescuers here is the list with their blogs

I am worrying that I won’t be able to manage this amount of people efficiently but

Because my film is so long and I have sooo many people helping me I must say that creating this schedule was a real challenge, but it’s ready and some shots are already being taking cared of!

First renders

My first renders look soo good that I am finally excited about this film!

CHINA – Global Immersion Summer School 2017 at Sichuan University in Chengdu – VIDEO

To complete our summer school we were obliged to crate a presentation about the things we have learned while the program. Me and Bonnie have created a film from the videos we have shot (they are not amazing but we didn’t know we will have to make a presentation).

CHINA – Internship at Creative Power Entertaining in Guangzhou (Canton)

After Summer School I travelled to Guangzhou (Canton) to join one of the biggest Chinese animation company called Creative Power Entertaining where I have spent 2 weeks as an intern. This was a priceless experience, I had a chance to see how does the real big animation company.

The most known feature created by Creative Power Entertainment is cartoon called “Xǐ Yáng Yáng yǔ Huī Tài Láng” in English “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf”. They are very proud of it and you can see the statues in front of the company buildings as well as inside.

Shaun – translator who has been helping me out on the 1st day at the company

Here is few examples of my work from the studio. It is not all I’ve made in there and it is not in good quality because most of the things are not allowed to leave the building (there is no internet, computers do not have usb ports and to enter the company you need to use fingerprint scanner).

I really enjoyed working for Creative Power Entertaining. People in there have been very kind and fun. The office looked exactly how I expected (workstations filled with figures and toys, cool posters everywhere), I was surprised by the nap break (which I am actually digging now), among many other things I have learned how does the cartoon creation process looks like in the big company and I know now how to use Adobe Flash.

A few photos from my leisure time in Guangzhou

CHINA – Global Immersion Summer School 2017 at Sichuan University in Chengdu

I have been chosen to attend Global Immersion Summer School (2017) at Sichuan University in China. Me, few of my friends from NTU and students from allover the world have spent 2 weeks in Chengdu. Accompanied by wonderful student volunteers of Sichuan University we had great time learning about Chinese art, history of art as well as culture and the way of living. It was so awesome I can’t handle the fact that I’m in England…. I would go back anytime (even though the normal temperature in there is about 40 degrees).

FORGOTTEN THINGS – The Racławice Panorama in Wrocław, Poland

Panorama Racławicka – how it is called in Polish is one of the best things I have ever seen. It’s a monumental cycloramic painting, 15 meters high and 114 meters wide, teling a story about the Battle of Racławice, which had place durin Kościuszko Uprising. It was created between years 1893 and 1894 by  Jan Styka and Wojciech Kossak with the assist of Ludwik Boller, Tadeusz Popiel, Zygmunt Rozwadowski, Teodor Axentowicz, Włodzimierz Tetmajer, Wincenty Wondzinowski and Michał Sozański. The project was conceived for the 100th anniversary of the victorious Battle of Racławice (4th of April 1794) a heroic but ultimately failed attempt to defend Polish independence. For the nation which had lost its independence, the memory of this glorious victory was particularly important.

It’s original place was in Lwów, Ukraine

After World War II the painting was brought to Wrocław but the Communistic regime didn’t alow it’s restoration up until August 1980.

The panorama stands in a circular fashion and with the viewer in the center, presents different scenes at various viewing angles. A special kind of perspective used in the painting and additional effects (lighting, artificial terrain) create a feeling of reality.
